A: Unfortunately, there is no easy way to safely seal a leak in a filter tank. Sometimes the best option is to replace the tank. Let us advise you.

Q2: How long should the filter pump run?

A: For the average sized pool, the pump should run for 8-10 hours in summer to maintain clarity. In autumn and spring for an average of 6 hours and in winter for 4 hours.

Q3: How often should I backwash the sand filter?

A: Backwash the filter when the pressure gauge gives a reading of 10kpa higher than when just cleaned.
